Established in Estherville, Iowa in 1997, SATERN® was created by Debra and Steven Satern, both accomplished professionals in their respective fields. The journey of SATERN® began right in their garage. Steve’s passion for competitive shooting and his proficiency with high-powered rifles naturally led them into the firearms industry.
Their initial endeavors involved the assembly of precision target rifles and the production of shooting sports accessories, including bore guides, single load followers, and the groundbreaking SATERN® Static-Free powder funnel, designed to streamline ammunition loading.
In 2003, Steve’s pursuit for an extremely accurate rifle barrel led them to rifle barrel manufacturing. Drawing upon Steve’s expertise as a machine builder and a competitive shooter, they ventured into crafting specialized equipment, meticulously designed, and built to exacting standards. This innovative approach gave SATERN® barrels unmatched levels of accuracy and precision, setting them apart as industry leaders.
